"You must never stop being whimsical. And you must not ever give anyone else the responsibility for your life. -Mary Oliver

Pursuing this dream of letterpress and being a business owner, was really one of my first moves to be responsible for my own life. Making the decision to buy my press alone, was so committing and scary. It took a few weeks to decide, even though I had been talking about it for years.

Yet despite all the scary, here we are! I still am not sure what's going on half the time and not because there isn't a lion's share of trying but because what comes around the corner can't help but be new. Sometimes this makes me very mad! Mostly there are more delights though that take over and give me more opportunities to create things with myself or other people, than ever before!

I was reflecting the other day on how many 'things' I have created in the past year and it sort of blew me away. That is the most important thing to take stock in, that and the fact that there have been so many amazing people that have supported me and are so inspiring with their magic they bring to the world.

My particular medium is letterpress printing and I do present myself with a business name, logo, even and brand. But all this to say I want to encourage everyone to not lose sight of the process, the journey that is creating itself. This, is where the whimsy comes in and it must not be lost."

To the creating!

Elisheba Anne
