Don't you wish you could just capture that short-lived Montana summer feeling? With these beautiful tiles, you are able to admire the Big Sky's summertime allure year-round from the comfort of your own home.
Choose from the Wildflower Mix (which includes Northern Bedstraw, Meadow Death Camas, and Cutleaf Daisy,) Mountain Bluebells, and Shooting Stars and Prairie Smoke. All options are captured on life-size on a 5"-5" inch tile.
These botanical tiles are made by making a clay mold of wildflowers, herbs, or garden perennials. A form is then placed and secured around the clay mold, plaster is then poured into the form and left to set for one hour. Once set, the form is taken off and the clay is peeled away. The plaster tile then has to set for one week before its edges are sanded smooth. Depending on whether any pigment from the clay transfers to the plaster, paint may be applied. Each piece is sealed with a matte varnish.
